🛡️ Welcome to Your Trezor Journey!

Congratulations on choosing Trezor – the world's most trusted hardware wallet! 🔐 Whether you're new to crypto or a seasoned HODLer, you're in the right place. This guide will walk you through everything you need to set up, secure, and start using your Trezor device. Let’s make your crypto safer, step by step. 👣

🚀 Step 1: Unbox and Connect

Unpack your brand new Trezor! Inside the box, you should find:

✅ Trezor device (Model One or Model T)
✅ USB cable
✅ Recovery seed cards
✅ Stickers
✅ Quick start guide

Now, plug your Trezor into your computer using the USB cable.

Tip: Only use the original cable provided – it’s designed for security and reliability. 🔌

🌐 Step 2: Go to trezor.io/start

👉 Open your browser and go to trezor.io/start – you're already here, great job!
This is the official setup page. Never trust links from third-party sources when it comes to crypto security.

💻 Step 3: Install Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is your secure control center. Download it for your operating system (Windows, Mac, or Linux) from this page.

🚫 Avoid using your Trezor in a browser – Trezor Suite offers superior security, privacy, and features.

Click "Download Trezor Suite" and follow the installation instructions.

🛠️ Step 4: Set Up Your Device

Once Trezor Suite is installed, open it and follow the prompts to begin setup. You'll be guided through:

  1. Firmware Installation (if needed) – Install the latest secure firmware.
  2. Create a New Wallet – Start fresh with a brand-new, secure wallet.
  3. Backup Your Recovery Seed – The MOST IMPORTANT step!

📝 Your Trezor will generate a 12-word recovery seed (Model One) or a 12/24-word seed (Model T). Write these words down on the recovery card and NEVER store them digitally. 🔒

💡 DO NOT:
❌ Take a photo
❌ Save to cloud
❌ Type into a note app

Treat your seed like the keys to your bank vault. 🏦

🔑 Step 5: Secure with a PIN

Next, you’ll set up a PIN code. This protects your device if it falls into the wrong hands.

💡 Make it memorable for you, but hard for others.

📌 Tip: You can also enable passphrase protection (advanced users only) for extra security.

💰 Step 6: Add Crypto to Your Wallet

Now that your wallet is set up, it's time to receive crypto!

  1. In Trezor Suite, click “Receive”
  2. Choose the coin you want (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum)
  3. Copy your receiving address
  4. Paste it into the app/exchange you’re sending from
  5. Send a small test amount first (recommended) 🧪

📲 Your crypto will appear in your wallet after it confirms on the blockchain. ⛓️

🔄 Step 7: Send Crypto Safely

To send crypto:

  1. Go to “Send” in Trezor Suite
  2. Paste the recipient’s address
  3. Choose the amount
  4. Confirm the transaction on your Trezor device screen

👀 Always double-check addresses and amounts! Your Trezor shows full details on the screen for your protection. 🧠
